Ministry of Education and Training

The Secretary of state for Education and Training (MOET) may be the government ministry accountable for the governance of general/academic education and greater education (training) in Vietnam. Vocational Education is controlled through the Secretary of state for Work, Invalids, and Social Matters (MoLISA). Ministry offices are situated in central ' Noi, on Co Dai Viet. Within the Vietnamese system, MoET accounts for the 'professional' performance and regulating educational facilities under it, although not for possession or finance, aside from the main public colleges (VNU, Vietnam National College, in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, fall directly underneath the Prime Minister's office, not MoET). Possession and administrative/financial responsibility for the majority of educational facilities, including all school-level general education, falls under Provinces or Districts, that have substantial autonomy on the majority of financial choices underneath the Vietnamese metabolic rate. Some institutions will also be controlled by other central ministries, although mainly at greater education levels (senior secondary and schools).
