Learn how to Skate programs, beginner to advanced, concentrate on orientation to ice and skating techniques. Course requirements are indicated. All Adult participants must put on a CSA approved hockey helmet. Learn how to Skate programs, beginner to advanced, concentrate on orientation to ice and skating techniques. Course requirements are indicated. All participants in beginner type training programs, when around the ice are needed to put on CSA approved hockey headgear which is highly suggested for those other skaters. Growth and development of balance and posture. Summary of forward skating, gliding, preventing and backward skating. Prerequisite: Level 1 is perfect for participants who're a new comer to skating or are not able to skate the width from the ice surface having a glide. Participants should have the ability to stand and walk on skates with straight ankles from the ice. Participants must put on a CSA approved hockey helmet. Growth and development of forward gliding, preventing, backward skating. Summary of one feet slides and backward gliding. Prerequisite: Effective completing Level 1 or participant can skate (having a glide) the size of the ice without falling. Participants must put on a CSA approved hockey helmet. Growth and development of backward preventing, backwards gliding and edges. Summary of mix-overs, slalom skating, 2 feet turns. Prerequisite: Effective completing Level 2 or participant has the capacity to glide on a single feet, skate backwards and prevent. Participants must put on a CSA approved hockey helmet. Growth and development of mix-overs, backward preventing. Summary of one feet turns, backward circle thrusts. Prerequisite: Effective completing Level 3 or participant has strong backwards skating and preventing ability. Participants must put on a CSA approved hockey helmet. Growth and development of backward mix-overs, forward edges, skill combinations. Summary of parallel preventing, backward edges and turns. Prerequisite: Effective completing Level 4 or proficient skating ability. Participant has the capacity to perform forward mix-overs, forward inside edges, 3-turns. Participants must put on a CSA approved hockey helmet. Learn how to Skate programs, beginner to advanced, concentrate on orientation to ice and skating techniques. Course requirements are indicated. Children will get an orientation towards the ice surface and can discover the fundamentals of skating through games and tunes. Participants should have the ability to stand and walk on skates with straight ankles from the ice. It's mandatory that preschool participants put on a CSA approved hockey helmet having a full nose and mouth mask. For Health professional and Tot programs, the health professional associated the kid around the ice should also put on a CSA approved hockey helmet.
